Clinical Supervision
-
I supervise:
counsellors and psychotherapists
mental health advisors and wellbeing advisors
safeguarding leads and officers
welfare and student support roles
practitioners in higher education settings
professionals working in ISVA, IDVA and related roles
others whose work involves holding complex casework and risk
Alongside this, my counselling practice specialises in fertility, miscarriage, baby loss and women’s issues and I welcome supervisees working within these areas.

Supervision offers a space to step back from the immediacy of practice and think carefully about the work.
You are invited to bring both the work that feels contained and the work that feels more uncertain — particularly where complexity, responsibility or risk are present.
Our work may include:
detailed exploration of client or casework
your responses and decision-making
navigating safeguarding, risk and ethical complexity
the organisational and systemic contexts shaping the work
cultural factors and intersectionality

My approach is reflective and relational, grounded in practice across both therapeutic and casework settings.
I am attentive to what is happening within the work itself, your experience as a practitioner, and the wider systems influencing both. Supervision is collaborative, with space for careful thinking, openness and professional accountability.
I use the Seven-Eyed model of clinical supervision as a framework to inform my practice. I am a member of the BACP and adhere to their Ethical Framework for Counselling Professionals. I am also happy to supervise practitioners who are members of other ethical and professional bodies.
-
I offer a free, no obligation initial conversation for prospective supervisees to discuss your work, your supervision needs, and whether the fit feels right.
If we decide to work together, we will agree a clear framework for supervision, including frequency and practical arrangements.
Please email me at keturahcounselling@gmail.com for further information.
I am a qualified supervisor (PGCert Clinical Supervision) offering clinical supervision and reflective practice for counsellors and professionals, including practitioners working in mental health services, safeguarding, higher education and other casework-based roles.
Your Questions, Answered

I work with counsellors as well as professionals from various other backgrounds. Having worked in higher education for a number of years, I have specific experience in supervision of mental health, wellbeing, welfare and safeguarding roles in Universities. I also have experience of supervision of other casework based roles such as ISVA/IDVAs.
I also offer supervision to trainee counsellors and volunteers. I have a limited number of concessionary spaces available, please enquire for further information.
If your role involves holding complex situations, making difficult decisions, or managing risk, supervision can offer a structured space to think about your work.
